
Basis of Union: Ft Wm Kilmallie
Edict to be read on Sundays 17 and 24th November at Caol and Corpach
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of this congregation of Kilmallie will be held in the Church on Sunday 1st December at the close of worship for the purpose of approving the Basis of Union of the congregations and parishes of Kilmallie and Ft William Duncansburgh MacIntosh, to form Fort William Kilmallie hi Church of Scotland.
Members and Adherents whose names are on the electoral register shall be eligible to vote for or against the following:
- Approve the basis of union of the congregations and parishes of Kilmallie and Fort William Duncansburgh MacIntosh, subject to the concurrence of Lochaber Presbytery and the Presbytery Planning Task Group (of Ministries Council)
- Agree that Rev Richard Baxter MA, BD be the minister of the charge of Fort William Kilmallie Church of Scotland
Lochaber Presbytery has made application for an additional post to augment the ministry team, and subject to congregational agreement will progress towards implementation of the Basis of Union at its meeting on 3rd December, 2pm at Kilmallie Church, Caol to which members and adherents of Kilmallie Church are cited to appear in their interest.
