It’s time to step up to the plate! This week 11-18 October is the focus of the End Hunger UK Campaign organised by the UK Food Poverty Alliance which draws from various church and community groups. It is estimated that 8.4 million people in the UK struggle to put food on the table. It would be far better to have a society where no-one went to bed hungry and where access to good food was something everyone had. On Friday at 10am at Ian Blackford’s constituency office The Parade Fort William presbytery’s Mission and Community group have an appointment with our MP Ian Blackford where we can put to him the issues of ‘school holiday hunger’, universal credit, food insecurity and the increasing dependence on food banks.
If you would like to come and meet our MP on this occasion please let Malcolm Kinnear know.
Heart and Soul will be happening on Sunday 19th May in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh and celebrates the life of the Church.
