Keith and Ida Waddell, Mission Partners working in Zambia will be in Lochaber next week. On Tuesday 8th, 7pm all are invited to meet with them at Ft Wm Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church Halls where they will give a presentation on their work with the United Church of Zambia.
Ministry & Mission allocations for 2020 will be finalised at Presbytery meeting at the end of October. Congregations have been invited to submit details of costed mission based projects which will be taken into account for next year’s allocations. Submissions should be with the clerk by next Tuesday (as intimated at presbytery 3rd September)

On Monday 10th June a group from North West Lochaber, Ardnamurchan, Acharacle and Strontian visited the island of Eigg and shared in worship in Eigg Church along with some of the islanders.
Presbytery agreed at its meeting on 11th June to restructure the Working Groups. Two groups, Ministry and Resourcing & Mission and Community will focus on inward and outward looking matters. Presbytery members are asked to notify the clerk by 30th June about which group they would prefer to be involved in. It is anticipated that all members will be active in at least one group.
Church and Society Working group will become part of the new Mission and Community Group. The current group has a meeting arranged for 19th June, 10am at Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church and will be looking at:
- Local pilgrim routes
- Provision of information about local ministers at care homes, and hospitals.
- Lochaber Hope’s Peer to Peer mental health support group
Each congregation should have a Church and Society contact and it is hoped that many will be able to attend this meeting.
Heart and Soul will be happening on Sunday 19th May in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh and celebrates the life of the Church.
